The Nemesis family members come from the future, were driven from their home planet, and are lead by Prince Demando, the leader of the family, who is bent on for revenge against the Moon Kingdom and its descendants for banishing his family to Nemesis in the first place. His main influence is Wiseman, who ends up running things according to his own agenda.

The members of the Nemesis family are searching for the ginzuishou, the Silver Crystal, in order to break the seal that is still protecting Neo-Queen Serenity in the future Moon Palace. Their intentions were supposedly peaceful to begin with; they simply wanted a more contented and serene life on Earth, leaving Nemesis to find a better place. However, with Wiseman's manipulation over Demando, things eventually take a turn for the worst.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Cooan

Cooan, the youngest of the four Akayashi sisters, is very aggressive and uses fire attacks. Like two other Akayashi sisters, she fell in love with Rubeus and he (being the ass that he is) led her on, making her believe that he loved her, using her to find Chibiusa. When Cooan was defeated by the senshi, Rubeus rebuffed her and told her off, breaking her heart.

Eventually Cooan joined the dark side (I mean, the light side) when she saw the good in Sailormoon, and was healed to live as a normal human being on earth. She was the first of the Akayashi sisters to be healed, and her senshi counterpart is Sailormars.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Beruche

Beruche is the second youngest of the Akayashi sisters; the shy and sensitive one. Like Ami, she's smart and skilled in chess, and her attacks are Dark Water based. Obviously, Her sailor senshi double is Sailormercury.

Beruche was also in love with Rubeus. Beruche is the sister that everyone picks on. She always got assignments that no one else wanted to do, and after she lost to Sailormercury in a chess battle, she went into a state of depression and self-pity and attempted to freeze herself into a giant ice cube. Sailormercury stopped her and Sailormoon healed her. She continued her life as a normal human being on Earth, and a friend of the senshi.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Caraveras

Caraveras is the second oldest Akayashi sister. She's often found arguing with Petz. She has no special powers but carries a whip. She and Petz were the last sisters to be healed.

Like the rest of the sisters, Caraveras was also in love with Rubeus, I do believe. If she was in love with him, it wasn't as evident as with the other two sisters. Caraveras is somewhat spoiled and is rather selfish, but not nearly as much as Petz. Her senshi double is Sailorvenus, as their attacks are also similar (Sailorvenus has the Love Me Chain, while Caraveras has her whip).

- - - - - - - - - - /// Petz

Petz is the oldest Akayashi sister. She's the most powerful and aggressive and has mainly thunder attacks. Obviously her sailor senshi counterpart is Jupiter. Quite stubborn, very evil while under the influence of Rubeus, and powerful, she is the last of the sisters to succumb to Sailormoon's healing power.

Unlike the other three sisters, Petz was  not in love with Rubeus! Surprising, I know. She actually loved Sapphire. The two had a romantic relationship, but once Petz and the rest of the sisters were healed and lived normally on earth, the two didn't see each other.

The first glimpse of their relationship that we see is when Sapphire finds the truth out about Wiseman and goes to present-day Tokyo to hide. He runs into Petz, who recognizes him instantly and tells him that if he's there to punish her and her sisters for leaving Nemesis, she'd take all the blame for them. He has no bad intentions, and she heals his wounds. Unfortunately for these two, their relationship never flourishes, because Sapphire is eventually killed by Wiseman.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Rubeus

Ahh, the sleazeball of Nemeses. Rubeus is the first general that Prince Demando sent out to find Chibiusa and the ginzuishou from Sailormoon.

Rubeus, in turn, had the Akayashi sisters do all his dirty work. Only when Petz was healed did he finally start to take action himself. He tried to get Chibiusa and the ginzuishou from Sailormoon, but failed every time because he's a moron. You can tell I don't like Rubeus. Of course I don't like him, that bastard. He's the kind of man every woman hates. He's a player, he makes up lies and leads on three unsuspecting girls, and why won't he ever put that damn jacket on properly?!

Eventually Rubeus blew up inside his space ship. A fitting end for such a low life, I must say. Emeraude was ready to take over his position, and since he was getting nowhere with Chibiusa or the ginzuishou, he was worthless to Demando and Wiseman's cause.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Emeraude

Emeraude is the general that took over after Rubeus. She was infatuated with Prince Demando to the extreme, but as we all know, he was head over heals in love with Neo Queen Serenity. Because of this, she's deathly jealous of Sailormoon/ Neo Queen Serenity.

Emeraude used her earrings as homing beacons to find "crystal points." She tried taking over these points by placing a crystal statue of herself on the location. These eventually grew until the senshi came and broke them.

Emeraude has an extremely annoying laugh. Think Naga from Slayers. She wears a very revealing dress and she's rather stuck up, self-centered, and somewhat vain. These qualities, along with her jealousy for Sailormoon, cause her to take too much power from Wiseman in an attempt to kill Sailormoon. She turns into a dragon, then is killed by Sailormoon instead, her plan backfiring pitifully.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Sapphire

Sapphire is Prince Demando's younger brother. But no! Don't let that fool you! He's actually Mamoru in disguise!

Just kidding. He may look like Mamoru, but they're two completely different people. Sapphire, the younger brother of Demando, loves his older brother, looks up to him, and cares a lot about his well-being. As in every group of bad guys, there is always one that is truly good, and Sapphire's the one in this case. His only ambition was to live a peaceful life on Earth, where there'd be a much better life than in Nemesis. He didn't understand his brother's hostile intentions and suspected correctly that Wiseman was up to no good.

Sapphire eventually learned the truth about Wiseman but Demando didn't listen to him until it was too late. Sailormoon had almost cured Sapphire, and the senshi were helping him relay his message to Demando, but Wiseman killed him before he was able to. Demando was shocked by his brother's death, but that didn't help sway Wiseman's manipulation on him.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Black Lady

Black Lady is Chibiusa's evil self. She was created by Wiseman, who turned her evil by hypnotizing her into thinking that no one loved her. He warped memories of her loved ones into those of hate, turning her into Black Lady.

Black Lady tried to kill Sailormoon and the senshi because of Wiseman's manipulation and her inability to decide who to trust. Since she had the future form of the ginzuishou in her body, she had a lot of power, which gave the senshi quite a hard time. Eventually, the senshi were able to break Wiseman's hypnotism and bring Chibiusa back in time to save Tokyo.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Prince Demando

Prince Demando is the leader of the Nemesis family. His goal is to get revenge on the humans for banishing his family to Nemesis. He was infatuated with Neo-Queen Serenity and tried to win her over by attempting to hypnotize her twice (which didn't work either times he tried, might I add). In the manga he got as far as to manage to steal a kiss from her, though.

Later on in Sailormoon R, it became evident that Demando was simply being used by Wiseman, who had other plans in mind. Wiseman didn't give a rat's bum about what Demando wanted. Eventually, Demando died realizing his mistakes and saving Sailormoon's life, blocking her from Wiseman's attack.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Wiseman

Ah, Wiseman, the evil bastard we love to hate. Wiseman worked in the name of the "Dark Phantom" and tried to trick Prince Diamond into killing everyone in the Nemesis family. He succeed in doing just that. Wiseman is big on hypnotizing and tricking people, distorting images and thoughts in their minds to turn them against their loved ones so to manipulate them.

To put it shortly, he's a nasty guy. My least favorite villain, I have to say. He's one of those villains that don't have much depth. All there is to him is malice and bad intent, simply for the Dark Phantom. You know, villains are made interesting because they have strange pasts, conflicting inner battles, and personality, but he has none of those. He doesn't even have a face, for crying out loud! He's just a bunch of rags and a skull. Sailormoon eventually eliminates him with the help of the senshi, Chibiusa, and the two ginzuishou of the present and future.
