- - Star Sensitive Inferno
Sailor Starhealer summons a star into her hand
as she calls out this attack, whirls once and
throws it forward. As you can see, there is most
definitely a pattern in the Starlight's attacks.

Yaten is short-tempered, outspoken and rude,
with a sweet and gentle side that only a lucky
few get a glimpse of. She's definitely the most
sophisticated Starlight in terms of her beauty,
with light hair and brilliant green eyes. As a
celebrity, Yaten cares least for his fans (all
but that one person that the Three Lights are
searching for) and can't understand how girls
confess their love to him without even knowing
his real character. Because of this, he throws
away the mountain-like piles of love letters
that he receives every day without even glancing
at them.
Though Yaten's got a sharp tongue with little consideration or tact when dealing with other people's feelings, there's some charm to him that attracts his fans even though he rebuffs them. He doesn't hesitate to say exactly what's on his mind, even when it's something hurtful. For example, when another celebrity kept hitting on him and asking him to dinner, he told her that he thought her way of talking was dull, and that he didn't want to associate with her outside of his job. It wasn't the gentlest way of dealing with the situation (his kind of abrupt speech is also very rare in Japan), but it got his point across. Yaten's cursed with an independent nature unrivaled by the other two Three Lights, and this causes him to both act distant from his fans as well as from Sailormoon. As Sailor Starhealer, Yaten is content with working on her own without the help of the other senshi.
Yaten keeps himself disconnected from his life as one of the Three Light on Earth. While Seiya really gets attached and Taiki merges with the crowd, Yaten is most often alone, more hesitant than the other two in getting too grounded. While Seiya pursues Usagi and Taiki gets caught up in his rivalry with Ami, Yaten finds a friend in Luna.
The friendship started when the Three Lights
were to
appear on a show, "Celebrities and their
Pets." They had bought a chameleon but
it ran off when Seiya tried to teach it tricks to do in front of the camera.
Meanwhile, the group stumbled on Luna, who had
been lazing nearby. With Yaten's beautiful
smile, Luna was reduced to a blabbering pool of
mush and was more than happy to appear with the
Three Lights in Yaten's arms. She
spent quite a while with Yaten (as Usagi and the
rest of the girls worried about her whereabouts)
and the two enjoyed their time together greatly. She went
as far as to take a bath with Yaten! This
certainly was a shock to both Artemis, who was
withering away with jealousy, and Minako, who
swooned about how she also wanted to be a cat.

Of the five girls, Minako was the one who got
closest to Yaten, in a sense. It's tough getting
significantly close to him in the first place,
but Seiya was too preoccupied with Usagi, and
Taiki didn't quite seem to be Minako's type to
begin with, so Minako gave a lot of her
attention to Yaten. Rather, she pursued him
relentlessly. She also had just the right
personality to get him to open up: outgoing,
cheerful, determined, sly, and playful; just the
right combination to get a reaction out of him.
For example, when playing a game of cards,
Minako passed her turn. Yaten said, "Why
didn't you discard that card?" Minako
replied: "I'll discard it if you go on a
date with me." Yaten huffed, "Don't be
ridiculous! Discard it!" Her antics
exasperate him, but at the same time she's the
only one other than Luna to get a reaction from
him, which is quite an accomplishment.
Yaten's extremely dedicated to Princess Kakyuu; that's the reason he keeps himself so distant from other girls. As Sailor Starhealer, her dedication to her princess is very strong, so much that once Kakyuu appears, Yaten is ready to leave Earth immediately and go back home to rebuild Kinmoku, rather than help the other senshi defeat Galaxia.
One of Yaten's charms is that he's very aloof. For example, he doesn't answer the phone properly, such as the time he spoke with Sailor Iron Mouse and didn't even ask who was calling or why, but hung up on her, sighing, "How annoying." He's definitely got a holier-than-thou attitude, but it's funny rather than bratty. If he's bored or exasperated, he leaves the scene and disappears into another solitary corner. He doesn't seem to pay much attention to his surroundings, which gives off an almost boyish need to be taken care of. "You worry me," Taiki said after Yaten hung up on Iron Mouse, "Answer the phone properly next time, okay?"
Yaten is another favorite character of many because of his unbeatable wit and attitude. One can't help but love the guy; he's so incredible uncaring about what others think about him that everyone wants the honor of getting his attention. He's the only one who'll dare tell Michiru that he doesn't like her lipstick, breaking her calm composure and scaring Haruka while he's at it. Yaten adds a lot of humor and complements the other Starlights well.
