- - - - - - - - - - /// Sailorpluto Attacks

- - - Dead Scream
An awesome attack and one of my favorites, this is the first attack that we see Pluto use. She says this to produce a massive orb of energy which can destroy some structures, and (of course) eliminate opponents. This is the only attack of any senshi that is whispered rather than shouted.

- - - Time Stop
Pluto uses this to stop the flow of time. This is a taboo power only used under the most extreme of circumstances.

- - - Chronos Typhoon
A manga attack. Pluto's equivalent of Uranus' Space Sword Blaster.

- - - Garnet Ball
Another manga attack. Pluto creates a force field with the Garnet Orb.

- - - Dark Dome Close
As you can see, Pluto has many more attacks in the manga than in the anime. This is also a manga attack, which Pluto uses to permanently seal the gates of time. This is obviously only used in extreme circumstances.

- - - - - - - - - - /// Setsuna in Depth

Sailorpluto first appears in episode 75 in Sailormoon R, in place of Chibiusa's Luna-P. She was, technically, the first outer senshi to be introduced to the girls. Chibiusa had been plagued with nightmares and the inner senshi were helpless to do anything as they weren't sure what was wrong. As the five girls gathered around Chibiusa's bed, Luna-P glowed and hovered over Chibiusa's chest as it disappeared, leaving instead a tiny image of a woman in its place: Sailorpluto. She said that the only way Chibiusa could be helped was if the senshi went into her dream to defeat the evil she was battling in her mind. Pluto is seen a couple of times guiding the inner senshi in their quest in Sailormoon R; she also helps them through the time gate into the past.

Setsuna and Chibiusa are dear friends. Chibiusa is often found looking up to Setsuna and admiring her. Setsuna is also the one who gave Chibiusa Luna-P and the time key. Luna-P is like a communication device between the two. Chibiusa lovingly calls Setsuna "Puu" and it's as if Setsuna is Chibiusa's only friend at the beginning of the Sailormoon R season and supports her efforts to save her mother.

Pluto's second appearance comes when Sailormoon, accompanied by the senshi and Tuxedo Kamen, travels to the future in order to save Chibiusa's mother. When they appear at the time gate, Pluto's first instinct is to punish any trespassers to the time portal, so she was about to lay waste to Sailormoon when Chibiusa stopped her. Luna commented, after going through the portal, about how Queen Serenity had told her about a melancholic soldier who was destined to guard the gates of time alone for eternity, and said that they were lucky to actually see her because most people never do.

Pluto doesn't appear often in the anime as a general rule. In Sailormoon S, she comes to earth and assumes the identity of Setsuna Meiou. However, she's not given an occupation like in the manga, where she's a nurse and dreams of being a fashion designer. The anime Setsuna, other than being a nice lady who obviously loves Chibiusa, doesn't get to do much more than stand around and mumble cryptic phrases with Uranus and Neptune. The outer senshi are more powerful; Pluto's past duty with Uranus and Neptune was to protect the solar system from outside enemies. However, by the time they were revived in the 20th century, the enemy had already breached through and arrived at Earth.

Pluto stopped time in Episode 124, the taboo and most forbidden act she could do. The senshi assumed she was dead, but she actually just went back to the passage of time where she couldn't cause any more damage. We rarely see her again until Sailor Stars.

In Sailor Stars, Setsuna picks up Hotaru from Professor Tomoe because she senses that Saturn's powers will be needed. She comes to the aid of Uranus and Neptune at a grave moment by informing them of the danger that is imminent. Hotaru ends up transforming, at the same time giving the three outer senshi their Super transformations. Pluto is then at earth throughout most of Sailor Stars. This is the season in which she gets plenty of character development and is seen in comedic situations herself, like when she appears out of nowhere in that cryptic tone of hers... and has an ice cream cone in her hand.

Like the other outer senshi, Pluto's extremely dedicated to her mission and her duties. While the inner senshi are also dedicated, they still live their lives on Earth. In a way, Setsuna's the most dedicated of all the senshi; she gives up the person who many fans suspect her of loving, gives up her dreams in fashion and nursing, and spends forever at the time gate. Setsuna's quiet and reserved, and extremely mature. She doesn't get too mixed up with personal relationship complications and mostly keeps simply to herself. She's also extremely intelligent and powerful and is helpful to the senshi on a number of crucial occasions.
