Attacks

-
- -
Crescent Beam
This is Sailorvenus' first attack of the first season. Venus says this and collects energy at the tip of her finger, which she
then releases in a concentrated beam at her enemy.
- - - Crescent Beam Shower
This attack is an upgrade of the Crescent Beam, in that the Crescent Beam fragments
now attack the enemy
from all sides rather than straight on.
- - - Venus Love Me Chain
Sailorvenus says this to generate a chain of hearts. This can be used to
either attack or tie up the target.
- - - Venus Love and Beauty Shock
Another awesome attack. The Sailor Stars season's attacks always have the best animation.
Venus first kisses her hand, making a heart appear. She throws it down and
it multiplies around her, then shoots at the enemy.

in Depth

Minako
(Mina as Artemis calls her) is a lovable character whose personality relates a
lot to Usagi. She transferred to Juuban Junior High School with the rest
of the inner senshi in the Sailor Stars season. Before she transferred into Juuban, she
used to go to Shibakouen Junior High. She lives with both of her parents
in Minato-Ku, both who we don't see much of at all.
Minako is a typical Libran. She loves to be in the spotlight and she dreams to be an idolized singer. She never misses glamour. She's also extremely boy-crazy yet considered rough for a girl. Reminds you of Makoto, doesn't it? It's true both of these girls are alike in this aspect (they're seen chasing after boys together, along with Usagi, a lot of the time, and they both have zero luck in the love department). Minako's favorite sport is volleyball, which she is very talented at.
Minako is the first sailor senshi (even before Usagi) to be discovered as Sailor V by Artemis, who told her about her real identity. Ever since, she's been battling evil in England before she joined the other senshi. Sailor V used to have a real hard time with the police, because she'd always get to the scene of the crime before they did, and made them look bad. In fact, Usagi is found idolizing Sailor V posters, movies, and merchandise, as well as playing Sailor V video games at the beginning of the series. Usagi was ecstatic when she found out that Sailor V was a senshi, asking her if she was the princess they were searching for (Usagi's past identity wasn't known yet at this point).
Minako was known as Sailor V but she became Sailorvenus after she
joined Usagi, Ami, Rei, and Makoto. Aside from Sailormoon, Minako is known as
the leader of the senshi. When Sailormoon is the
Moon Princess of the past and Neo Queen Serenity
of the future, the position of leader is passed
to Venus. Because of this, Moon and Venus have a
close relationship.

Minako is a cheerful, earnest
girl, and like Usagi is constantly running late, a klutz, and to put it
delicately, is not a good test taker. She also has a very cute habit of using
popular phrases and getting them wrong (often getting corrected by Ami). On the plus side she's
willing to help (even if she doesn't
do any good), is a smart, strong fighter, and plays volleyball
well.
As you can see, though Minako and Usagi are alike, there are some crucial differences between the two. While Usagi is naive and innocent, Minako has more experience in her life with heartbreak and loss. Because of this, she has a harder time opening up to people. Usagi's never been hurt in the way Minako has, so she's able to love people fully and make herself vulnerable. Minako, however, is more withdrawn when it comes to those things. She's not as carefree as Usagi is, though she may act like it, deep down she's not. In addition, Usagi and Minako switch places by the time the series is over. At the beginning of Sailormoon, Usagi was extremely ditzy while Minako was more of a stable person. By the end of Sailor Stars, Minako has gone wildly over the ditzy and "super weird" end of the scale, while Usagi has gained maturity.
Minako's dream is to be an idol, so it's no wonder she spends a lot of her time chasing them around. She was ecstatic when the Three Lights were in town, and developed a crush on Yaten (as well as Taiki and Seiya). This isn't surprising as she is very boy-crazy. She's determined to get a boyfriend and even when her plans are set back (how she discovers "he" is a she) she doesn't linger and is back in the mix.
As a senshi Venus controls love. All but her first attack deal with hearts and love (Minako also occasionally refers to herself as the "Goddess of Love") and Venus in Roman mythology is the goddess of love. Venus' element isn't so clear cut, but she's a formidable opponent. Due to her training as Sailor V, she's also good at physical fighting.
Minako is your typical Libran. She's a drama queen and loves to be in the spotlight. However, below that shallow fluff is an over sensitive girl who often has a hard time showing her true feelings, and ends up keeping them hidden. While Usagi is fine with showing emotion, Minako keeps it to herself and wipes it away with a carefree face. Minako's a complex character both fun and interesting to watch her antics.
