Later on in the series, we learn that the boy that Aya-chan had a crush on was Tsuyoshi! This makes an ever bigger love triangle situation because Tsuyoshi and Hayama have a crush on Sana-chan! Sana never realized that Aya had any feelings for Tsuyoshi until she had an outburst in class one day. That day before, Tsuyoshi was having some family problems, and Hayama and Sana ran out of school to go look for him, because he was nowhere to be found and the teachers were all worried about him. It turned out that Tsuyoshi was just visiting Hayama's dad at the hospital, and after much searching and worrying, Sana and Hayama finally found him. He told them that everything would be okay, and later that night, Aya-chan visited Sana's house to ask about how Tsuyoshi was doing and to return Sana-chan's backpack to her, since she ran out of school before being able to take it with her. Aya asked Sana-chan what she thought of Tsuyoshi, and she was blushing the whole entire time. Sana still didn't get it, and when she realized that Aya just came over to her house to ask about how Tsuyoshi was doing, Sana said, "I see! It must mean that Aya is a very caring person!" She was completely clueless, as usual. The next day at school, he announced his parents' divorce to the family. Right then, all the boys in the class started teasing him about having a mother complex again, saying stuff about how now he will be able to be closer to his mother now. He started to get really mad, but then Aya-chan told the boys to stop and stood up for Tsuyoshi. She told them off about how good of a big brother Tsuyoshi was to his little sister and declared her love for Tsuyoshi in the process. Later on, Hayama tells Aya that Tsuyoshi likes material things, so she bakes some cookies for his birthday and gives them to him. With a bit of persuading from Hayama, Tsuyoshi forgets about Sana-chan and him and Aya officially become a couple! <-- Character Info |

Aya-chan
is one of Sana-chan's girl friends. She's been really close
friends with Sana and Hisae, and the rest of the girls in their
class. She is a really quiet girl and is very bashful and shy.
She has a crush on a boy in their class, but she never said who
that boy was because she was way too embarrassed to.
