This is a listing and explanation of the many different words, items, and terms from the CCS series that I refer to, and are widely known among the CCS fan world.

Cerberus - (Also spelled Kereberus) This is Kero-chan's real name. Known as the strongest golden beast, Cerberus was created by Clow Reed to protect the seal on the Clow Cards. He's actually really huge, but the only reason that Cerberus is in the shape of a tiny stuffed doll (Kero-chan's form) is because his magic is dwindling. Supposedly, his true form is "super cool" and "incredible" as Kero-chan says. Kero-chan's symbol is the sun, and fire is under the sun symbol, so Sakura has to at least catch the Fire card before Kero-chan can turn to his original form.

CLAMP - This is the group of four women that are behindCCS. They are extremely popular in the anime/manga world, and some other titles by them are: Magic Knights Rayearth, Clamp Campus Detectives, X/1999, Wish, Clover, Tokyo Babylon, and more. They started out with many more members (17, I think) but now they are stable with four members. Their art is different and original, and their stories are amazing, with plenty of awesome characters and unexpected twists and turns in the plot.

Clow Cards - The whole focus of CCS. :P If you don't know what this is, then where have you been? Clow Cards are special cards that were made by Clow Reed, and they were scattered when Sakura opened a book called, "The Clow" and spread them with the "Windy" card. Each one is alive and holds incredible power. They all act as they like, and normal people can do nothing against them. Sakura must capture all the cards because when their seal is broken, chaos will spread throughout the world. The Clow Cards can also be used to predict the future like Tarot Cards.

Clow Reed - The creator of the Clow Cards, he is a very powerful magician. There were few magicians that were able to make new ways of using magic, and he was one of them. Because of the awesome power that the Clow Cards hold, Clow Reed made the book "The Clow" and put Kero-chan as the beast of the seal on the cover. Shaolan, Meiling, and their family are all related to (descendants of) Clow Reed.

Elements - Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. Those are the four elements that all the Clow Cards fall under. The actual Element cards are the hardest to catch out of all of them. For example, Watery has complex magic, and it is extremely aggressive, having a temper and containing an attack spell, making it one of the hardest to catch. Cards all have different personalities. There are mellow cards, violent cards, strange cards, strong cards, weak cards, and many other kinds. Windy is the friendliest card of them all, and it hates to fight. It's the same with the Wood card. Watery, however, has an aggressive streak. Flowery, on the other hand, is just strange and all it does is make flowers. Each of these cards fall under one of the four main elements.

"Hoe?" - This is Sakura's expression of shock/disbelief/fear/etc. Sakura has a way of making up her own words for certain situations and emotions. This is not pronounced as, "ho," but is pronounced like, "ho-ee." Unfortunately, this was cut off in the English Mixx translation of the manga, and the English Nelvana dub. In the Mixx translation of the manga, Sakura says, "Miyaaa!" instead of "Hoe!"

Sealing Wand - This is the baton that Sakura uses to seal the Clow Cards. It's the Key of the Seal, and is originally a little key that Sakura wears around her neck during the day. At the very beginning, Kero-chan got Sakura to make a "contract" with the key. To make the key turn into it's original baton form, Sakura says: "Key which hides the powers of darkness, show your true power before me. Under the contract, Sakura commands you. Release!" To seal a Clow Card, she raises the wand, yells, "Return to your rightful form! Clow Card!" and the card is sealed. After that, she writes her name on the card so it officially belongs to her and is under her control.

Seijou High - The school that Touya and Yukito go to. It is right next to Sakura's elementary school, so whenever Sakura's in trouble, Touya is around to help. :P

Tomoeda Elementary - The school that Sakura and Tomoyo go to. Later on, Shaolan and Meiling also attend here. It is right next to Touya and Yukito's high school.
